So not only have the climate change lies been exposed, but the leader has a degree in economics?

Oh, and he was a railroad engineer, and those are the qualifications the PRO-global warming people were bragging about? They kept saying that the "scientists" were right and all the skeptics were wrong, but the MAIN piece used for their 2007 report was based upon 1 report from a guy no one knew much about? Sounds like good scientific process to me, how about you?

Oh, and let's not forget the "peer-reviewed" science, isn't that funny?

excerpt...
A high-level inquiry into the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change found there was “little evidence” for its claims about global warming.

It also said the panel had emphasised the negative impacts of climate change and made “substantive findings” based on little proof.

ALSO, VERY IMPORTANT is this:
The review also cast doubt on the future of IPCC chairman Dr Rajendra Pachauri.

Earlier this year, the Daily Express reported how he had no climate science qualifications but held a PhD in economics and was a former railway engineer.

Dr Pachauri has been accused of a conflict of interest, which he denies, after it emerged that he has business interests attracting millions of pounds in funding. One, the Energy Research Institute, is set to receive up to £10million in grants from taxpayers over the next five years.

Pytanie #12:

Why doesn't welded rail warp?

I've read that rails on modern railways are often welded into continuous strips that extend for miles. If this is so, why don't the rails warp in very hot or cold weather? If you have small segments of rail with space between them, the rails can expand in hot weather without warping; but if you have miles of continuous rail, what takes up the expansion of the rails when it's hot? And conversely, what compensates for tension in the rails in very cold weather?

I suppose you can fix rails securely to the ties, but thermal expansion generates extremely powerful forces, and it's hard to see how just attaching the rails to the ties is going to prevent the rails from expanding or contracting.

Pytanie #17:

Motorists: Why do you keep your foot on the brake?

I use my brakes to slow down, sometimes to come to a stop. When I've stopped I apply my handbrake and take my foot off the footbrake. It completely baffles me as why why drivers sit for ages with their foot on the brake at lights, railway crossings, traffic jams etc.
If you look at a line of queuing traffic, you can bet your bottom dollar that 75% will be sitting there, not moving at all, with their foot on the brake.
I know most people won't think this is a big deal, but I'm just baffled as to why. Also, after a while, the bright red lights give me a headache. It's worse these days as cars have high intensity brake lights - at eye level!
So... Scott reckons it's illegal NOT to sit with your foot on the brake, and Karlos reckons the Highway Code says otherwise. Who do you believe? Personally, I think Scott is talking out of his tailpipe. The whole queue needs to have their bright red brakelights on? I think not!

Pytanie #28:

What do you think of this?

This is just a little piece that just popped into my head. The bad thing about these pieces is that I usually can;t really finish them, but it's still good practice.

It was a bright, cool winter's day, and the dead leaves from fall were still blowing around. The tires on my Ford Escort hummed on the highway. Up ahead was a train croosing. The evergreen trees near the railway were blocking my sight of it, but the gates were up and there were no flashing lights. I was almost to the tracks when I saw the train. I slammed on the brakes. The abs pulsated, moving my foot back and forth. But still, even as the car slowed, I knew I wasn't gonna make it. I braced myself.
I woke up in a strange room. Everything was somewhat fuzzy, and the color was weird. It was like looking at a TV displaying a security camera. I felt strangely numb, and when I lifted my hand to feel my face, I heard a clink of metal. It was then that I looked down. Instead of the blue shirt I had put on that morning, I saw a boxy metal shape, and instead of my suede shoes, there were two tracks, each one with a rubber belt on it. My hand was a metal claw, and as I did the same motions that used to make my fingers work, the claw moved with the sickening sound of an electric motor. I didn't feel queasy, I had no stomach. I couldn't get shaky legs, I had belts. "What happened to me?" I asked out loud, and a metallic voice blurted out the same sentence in a monotone. Suddenly there was a movement next to me, and I pivoted on the tracks. A mirror went up and I could see the horror that had become of me. I was a robot. A single cheap camera sat above the metal box. I went over to the mirror and smashed it with the metal claws. A man came out from another room. He had grey hair and was wearing a dirty white apron and rubber gloves. "Hello, my creation. Time for you to join the others." "Others?" The metallic voice asked. "Yep." "What have you done to me?" I asked desperately. "I saved your life." "Saved my life?! I'm a freaking piece of metal!" "Well, would you rather be THAT?" He pointed over at another bed. It was a bloody mess. All that remained of my old body was some guts and blood. "This can't be happening!"

London Underground Bombing 'Exercises' Took Place at Same Time as Real Attack
Culpability cover scenario echoes 9/11 wargames

Paul Joseph Watson & Alex Jones/Prison Planet | Updated July 13 2005

UPDATE: London Underground Exercises and the Magically Exploding Terrorists: Important Questions

A consultancy agency with government and police connections was running an exercise for an unnamed company that revolved around the London Underground being bombed at the exact same times and locations as happened in real life on the morning of July 7th.

On a BBC Radio 5 interview that aired on the evening of the 7th, the host interviewed Peter Power, Managing Director of Visor Consultants, which bills itself as a 'crisis management' advice company, better known to you and I as a PR firm.

Peter Power was a former Scotland Yard official, working at one time with the Anti Terrorist Branch.

Power told the host that at the exact same time that the London bombings were taking place, his company was running a 1,000 person strong exercise which drilled the London Underground being bombed at the exact same locations, at the exact same times, as happened in real life.

The transcript is as follows.

POWER: At half past nine this morning we were actually running an exercise for a company of over a thousand people in London based on simultaneous bombs going off precisely at the railway stations where it happened this morning, so I still have the hairs on the back of my neck standing up right now.

HOST: To get this quite straight, you were running an exercise to see how you would cope with this and it happened while you were running the exercise?

POWER: Precisely, and it was about half past nine this morning, we planned this for a company and for obvious reasons I don't want to reveal their name but they're listening and they'll know it. And we had a room full of crisis managers for the first time they'd met and so within five minutes we made a pretty rapid decision that this is the real one and so we went through the correct drills of activating crisis management procedures to jump from slow time to quick time thinking and so on.

Click here for a clip of this dialogue. Click here for a longer clip where the comments can be heard in their full context.

The fact that the exercise mirrored the exact locations and times of the bombings is light years beyond a coincidence. Power said the drill focused around 'simultaneous bombings'. At first the bombings were thought to have been spread over an hour, but the BBC reports just today that the bombings were in fact simultaneous.

The exercise fulfils several different goals. It acts as a cover for the small compartamentalized government terrorists to carry out their operation without the larger security services becoming aware of what they're doing, and, more importantly, if they get caught during the attack or after with any incriminating evidence they can just claim that they were just taking part in the exercise.

This is precisely what happened on the morning of 9/11/2001. The CIA was conducting drills of flying hijacked planes into the WTC and Pentagon at 8:30 in the morning.

It is clear that at least five if not six training exercises were in operation in the days leading up to and on the morning of 9/11. This meant that NORAD radar screens showed as many as 22 hijacked airliners at the same time. NORAD had been briefed that this was part of the exercise drill and therefore normal reactive procedure was forestalled and delayed.

The large numbers of 'blips' on NORAD screens that displayed both real and 'drill' hijacked planes explain why confused press reports emerged hours after the attack stating that up to eight planes had been hijacked.

Train Movies for children?

Can anyone give me any ideas of train movies for kids? Besides railway children what else should i look for?

thanks

10 points for the longest list!
I know about Thomas, but he is a series, not a movie! I know they made thomas movies (misty Island is the pre christmas one but its not the same)

Most train movies are ones that kids cant really watch like under seige 2 and murder on the OP.
Stand by me not a great choice due to the off to see a dead body and almost get run over by a train plot!

Polar express is too weird! either its cgi or its people not cgi people - too freaky!

Dumbo is a fun one thanks for that!

There must be something with 6-16 year olds and trains

Pytanie #39:

How do you re-arrange letters in the way I am asking, or tell me a method?

I currently am trying to get a job at a local Railway as a Conductor. I was notified that I would be tested and there was no way of studying for the test, I thought it would be simple, and to the other 8 people, it was. Now I don't really understand how they did it so quickly, and without the necessity of me writing all over the worksheet like its complicated, I really need help because I'm getting a retest.

Okay so onto what they want:

This is a railway track _______________________
This is a railway cart [A]-[B]-[C] (the - being that they are connected)
This is the locomotive <[ - ]
This is the Caboose [ ^ ]

Now before the 25 minute test, they tell you and show you an example, here is what it was like:

There is two tracks (just pretend they are connected)
____[J]-[K]__________________________________ TRACK 1

_<[ - ][A]-[B]-[D]-[E][ ^ ]_________________________ TRACK 2

They want you to make the train in a order that they randomly give, for this example, AJBDE and leave K on track 1.

Now while you are doing this, they tell you they want you to make the minimum amount of the following:

1 - connections
2 - disconnections
3 - forward movements
4 - backwards movements
5 - Move from one track to the other.

Its just so complicated to me I can't figure it out can someone please help me out?
